Business Process Analyst

Location: Suffolk, VA

Summary:
The individual will function as a subject matter expert for business intelligence tools administration and service operations. This involves performing incident and problem resolution, standard service requests, infrastructure monitoring and alert response, and consultation with application support and development staff.
Project Details:
* Deep experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Business Objects, Actuate, and Informatica PowerCenter
* Experience with other SQL Server Business Intelligence tools (SSAS, SSIS, SharePoint)
* Ability to identify and correct gaps in standard operation procedures and checklists
* Competency in ITIL processes: Incident, Problem, Knowledge and Change Management
* Competency in Root Cause Analysis and Cause Mapping
* Coaching team members toward a functional understanding of Business Objects, Actuate, Informatica PowerCenter, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
* Ability to assess varying types of incidents and determine appropriate subject matter experts to involve when necessary
Job Experience:
* Basic scripting knowledge: SQL and unix shell
* Basic awareness of other infrastructure technologies – for example, WebSphere, database management systems, unix and windows server administration, storage, or data networking
* Awareness of Service Management target metrics
* Experience with software migrations, and installation of patches and updates
Pay Range:
$28 - 36/hr
